21 held in Benapole border

BENAPOLE: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel held 21 people including children, male and female from Putkhali area of Benapole frontier on Sunday morning.

Khulna BGB-23 Battalion commanding Officer lieutenant colonel Tayef-ul-Haque told banglanews, “Some 21 people were held from the area at around 10:30am while trying to cross Bangladesh-India border without passport.”

Benapole Port police station Sub-inspector Abdul Aziz told banglanews, “The detainees will be produced to Jessore court after BGB men handed over them to the police station.”
