DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) of Police, in a drive, rescued six women from a hidden bunker in Harunja village under Kalai upazila of the district on Sunday night.

Sources said, on information, police rescued six women from the house of Seken, a local UP member.

Police also arrested four ‘wives’ of Seken in this connection while the UP member fled the scene along with his two other ‘wives’.

Joypurhat Police Superintendent Hamidul Alam told banglanews that a case was been filed with Kalai Thana in this regard.
