BOGRA: District Police along with Ditective branch (DB) arrested seven Islami Chhatra Shibir activists from Jamil Nagar and Malgram areas in Bogra on Monday.

Police recovered 45 cocktails, sharp weapons and explosive materials for making cocktails and hand grenades from their residence.

The arrestees were identified as Rabiul Islam, Ershad Ali, Mahbubur Rahman, Enamul Haq Sarker, Tariqul Islam, Abu Raihan and Enamul.

Acting on tip-off, police rushed to the Jamil Nagar area and arrested Rabiul Islam and Ershad, who were in possession of sharp weapons.

On information from the arrestees, police went to the Malgram area and arrested the five others around 2:00pm.

Bogra district Assistant Police Super Gaziur Rahaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
