DHAKA: Biggest Eid-ul-Azha congregation of the country will be held at 9am Wednesday at Sholakia Eidgiha Maidan here.

District administration has completed the preparations to hold the 186th congregation with the help of Eidgah Steering Committee.

The Eid prayers will be conducted by eminent Islamic scholar Moulana Mufti Farid Uddin Masud.

District administration sources said that thousands of devotees from home and abroad are expected to join the largest congregation at the historic Sholakia Eidgha Maidan.

A special munajat will also be offered seeking divine blessings for the welfare of the people of the country as well as the Muslim Ummah.

The district administration has adopted unprecedented security measures to hold the Eid jamaat in a peaceful manner.

The members of the elite force RAB and police have been deployed in and around the venue to maintain law and order during the prayers.

Special trains and buses have been introduced for easy journey to the ground.
