SYLHET: Five people were killed and another one injured critically as a passenger bus rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Goalabazar area of the district on Tuesday night.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Witnesses said that a Dhaka-bound bus rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw from behind, near the Goalabazar Petrol Pump, leaving three passengers dead on the spot and three others critically injured.

Later two persons died on the way to hospital and critically injured another one was admitted to Osmani Medical College Hospital, Sylhet.

Officer-in-Charge of Osmaninagar Thana Juber Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
