COMILLA: A Krishak League leader was killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway near Raypur area under Daudkandi Upazila of the district on Friday noon.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Majid, 55, general secretary of Krishak League of Jinglatali union of the upazila.

Local sources said that Dhaka-bound private car rammed Majid when its driver lost control over steering, leaving him dead on the spot.

Daudkandi Highway Sub-Inspector Rois Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
