MANIKGANJ: Police recovered the bodies of a man and his wife at Dhalla village of Putail Union under Sadar Thana of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Dholu Mia, 40 and his wife Manwara Begam, 30.

Sources said that Manwara was the wife of Arshed Ali and the couple has three kids. Later two years ago Manwara married Dholu Mia.

Police said they might have been killed over family dispute.

Confirming the matter Manikganj Sadar Thana Sub-inspector Badruzzaman told banglanews, “We are trying to ascertain the motive behind the murder.”

The process is underway to send the bodies to Manikganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy, he added.
