CHITTAGONG: At least 10 persons fell sick after inhaling toxic gas due to a gas cylinder explosion at an ice factory in Char Patharghata area of the port city on Saturday morning.

Karnaphuli Thana Officer-in-Charge Mahiuddin Mahmud told banglanews that the explosion occurred at around 11:00am due to leakage at gas supply line. After the explosion, none could enter the factory as toxic gas blew out from there.

Later, the sick people were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital at around 11:30am.
