DHAKA: A devastating fire broke out at the sixth floor of a 14- storied building of Biswas builders in capital’s new market area on Saturday night.

Source said that the fire originated at around 10:55pm from an electric short circuit and soon spread to 13th floor.

Meanwhile, three people fell sick after inhaling fume during the fire.

On information, seven fire service units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control at around 1:00am.

Confirming the matter, fire service Dhaka zone deputy director Bharat Chandra Biswas told banglanews, “The situation is now under control and the building is safe now.”
