DHAKA: Election Commissioner Abu Hafiz on Monday said the election commission would prepare a draft of ‘code of conduct’ for the upcoming 10th National Parliament Elections

“The draft electoral code of conduct will be published on the website of the election commission within a week,” he said.

The election commissioner came up with the disclosure while talking to journalists at city’s election commission secretariat on Monday afternoon.

Abu Hafiz said, “No significant changes have been made so far in electoral code of conduct as EC have collected information and facts related to general election from different countries.”

He added: “We have prepared the draft of electoral code of conduct for the next national polls so that all political parties enjoy equal rights as the poll will be held under political government instead of the caretaker.”  

The commissioner also informed that the commission would send the draft of electoral code of conduct to all registered political parties and stakeholders seeking suggestions.
