RAJSHAHI: Barrister Mahbubur Rahman was appointed as new Police Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) on Monday.

RMP Deputy Commissioner Abu Saleh Mohammad Shah Golam Mahmud confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Barrister Mahbubur Rahman is one of the DIG’s who were promoted to this post by the notification of the president on May 15, 2011.

He worked as a Joint Commissioner (Traffic) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

Now he is working as police commissioner and additional DIG of DMP.
