FENI: Three people, including a couple, were killed in a road accident in Khaiara area of Feni Sadar on Dhaka-Chittagong highway on Monday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Kamal Uddin, 65, his wife Hosne Ara, 55 of Feni Sadar and Liza, 17, of Khaiara area under Chandrapara.

Sources said passenger bus crushed into an engine-run auto-rickshaw while in the area around 4:30pm, leaving five passengers of the auto-rickshaw injured.

The fatally injured four were rushed to Feni Sadar Hospital where the couple died, medical sources said.

On the other hand, Liza succumbed to her injuries at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
