NATORE: A youth was killed and 25 others were injured in a fierce clash between two groups of villagers over previous feud at Singra upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Gani 25, son of Fajlal Mollah resident of Puthimari village of the upazila.

Police and local sources said that the villagers of Puthimari and Koshabari village locked into a clash at around 8:00am over previous feud centering a function of Eid-ul-Azha, leaving Abdul Gani dead on the spot and 25 others injured.

The injured were rushed to Singra health complex, Natore Sadar Hospital and local clinics.

The body was sent to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.

Singra police station Officer-in-Charge Foyejur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
