DHAKA: A delegation of BNP handed over a letter to Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam with opposition leader Khaleda Zia’s message.

The team comprising opposition Chief Whip Joynul Abedin Farooque, senior leader Barkat Ullah Bulu and Shahid Uddin Chowdhury went to Ashraf’s Mintu road residence at 11:30am.

Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday proposed the outline of the interim government for holding the next general elections.

As per her proposal, the interim government will be formed by 10 members from the advisors of the caretaker government of 1996 and 2001 as per consensus of both the ruling and opposition parties.
