DHAKA: US Ambassador to Dhaka Dan W Mozena met Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Pankaj Saran on Tuesday morning.

The meeting started at 10:00 am in Indian envoy’s residence and ended at 11:15 am.

Sources said the meeting between two foreign diplomats of two powerful countries is so important in a time during the ongoing political situation of Bangladesh.

Experts assume that this meeting can play a significant role to avert the present political crisis of the country.

US envoy, in several times, urged ruling Awami League and main opposition BNP to hold talks while Indian high commissioner also expressed his government’s hope in holding a democratic poll in Bangladesh.
