DHAKA: Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam has given thanks to BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir over phone after receiving a letter from the BNP.

Fakhrul received Ashraf’s phone call when he was in a press conference around 11:00am.

Earlier a delegation of BNP handed over a letter to Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam with opposition leader Khaleda Zia’s message.

The team comprising opposition Chief Whip Joynul Abedin Farooque, senior leader Barkat Ullah Bulu and Shahid Uddin Chowdhury went to Ashraf’s Mintu road residence at 11:30am.

Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday proposed the outline of the interim government for holding the next general elections.
