BRAMHANBARIA: Five persons were injured when fire broke out at Eye Department of district sadar hospital on Tuesday mroning.

The fire originated at the eye department and spread quickly to store room in the third floor.

The fire broke out at around 11:30 am.

Meanwhile, the panicked patients and nurses started running to-and-fro that left five people injured.

The injured were given first aid at the hospital.

On information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.

A fireman of District’s Fire Service Station said that the fire might have originated from the butt of a cigarette.
