Tangail road crashes kill 3

TANGAIL: Three people were killed in separate road accidents at Sadar and Kalihati upazilas in the district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Barek, 40, son of Naowazesh Miah from Kalihati upazila and Sohel Rana, 30, from Sadar upazila Rashid Miah, 35, son of Samad Mia, hailed from Shirajganj district.

Officer-in-Charge of Jamuna East Thana Hares Ali Mia told banglanews that a Dhaka-bound train rammed Barek while he was walking over the rail crossing.

On the other hand, an over loaded truck crushed into the motorbike, leaving Sohel dead on the spot.

Besides, a North-Bengal-bound passenger bus knocked Rashid Mia while he was crossing the Dhaka-Tangail highway, leaving him injured critically.

Later, he was rushed to Tangail General Hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.
