JCD men blast cocktails in city

DHAKA: Activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), from a protest procession, exploded couple of cocktails in capital’s Green Road and Azimpur areas on Wednesday morning.

Witnesses said Tejgaon College unit of JCD brought out a procession at around 9:00am. When the procession reached Green Road parading Farmgate area, the protesters blasted couple of cocktails and blocked road setting fire on tyres.

Panic was prevailing in the area. On information, police rushed in and dispersed the protesters.

Sher-e-banglanagar police station officer-in-charge Abdul Momin confirmed it to banglanews.

Activists of JCD blasted couple of cocktails inside the Azimpur colony at the same time.

Lalbagh police station Officer-in-Charge Nurul Mostakin told banglanews, “Some JCD activists came to the colony riding on motorbikes and exploded couple of cocktails and left the scene.”

On information, police forces rushed to the spot.
