CHAPAINAWABGANJ: A minor was killed in a road accident on Shibganj-Sonamosjid road at Shibganj upazila of the district on Wednesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Jabbarul Islam, 4, son of Abdul Khalek of Khojapur village of Daipukuria union under the upazila.

Witnesses said that a rashly driven truck knocked Jabbarul down in Grameen Tower area while he was crossing the road, leaving him injured critically.

Later, he succumbed to his injuries on way to Shibganj Upazila Health Complex.

Shibganj Thana Sub-Inspector Mohsin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
