DHAKA: The sitting of the 19th session of the ninth parliament resumed on Wednesday evening.

The lawmakers of opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance joined the session. Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar is leading the opposition lawmakers.   

The session resumed around 5:40pm with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

The day’s proceedings began with recitation from the Holy Quran.
