NATORE: A college student was electrocuted at Taranagar village in Baraigram upazila of the district on Wednesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Shimul Akhter, 18, son of Sekendar Ali, also a second-year student of Baraigram Technical College.

Baraigram Union Parisad Chairman Momen Uddin told banglanews: “The victim tried to repair electric connections of his house. At one stage, he came in contact with an electric wire and injured critically.”

Later, he died on way to hospital, he added.
