THAKURGAON: Border Security Force (BSF) of India abducted a Bangladeshi cattle trader from Ratnai border in Baliadanga Upazila of the district early Thursday.

The victim is Anwar Hossain, 20, son of Shaheed Uddin of the upazila.

Sources said that BSF Battalion-14 personnel held Anwar at around 12:30am while he was returning home from India with cattle near pillar no 382/2.

Confirming the matter Thakurgaon Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Commander Colonel Iqbal Hossain told banglanews, “A letter was sent to BSF to hold a flag meeting in this regard.”
