BOGRA: The district administration imposed section 144 at the district town to avert any violence as ruling Awami League and opposition BNP convened meeting at same time and venue on Thursday.

The ban will be enforced from 6:00pm Thursday till 6:00 pm Saturday.

District Additional Magistrate Mohammed Hossain announced the section 144 on Thursday morning to avoid unwanted situations.

All kinds of demonstrations, meeting, rally and demonstrations were prohibited in the area for next 48-hour in the municipal area.

Nezarat Deputy Collector of district administration Arifuzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
