SYLHET: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel are set to be deployed in Sylhet City in the evening for ensuring the tight security in the metropolitan area.

Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner Nibas Chandra Majhi confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The police commissioner said Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police forces also would have to be kept alert to prevent subversive activities by Chhatra Shibir men.

SMP Additional Police Commissioner ASM Rokon Uddin told banglanews: “Along with additional police forces, plain dressed police forces will be deployed at key points of the metropolis.”
