TANGAIL: Three people of a family were killed and four others injured in road accident in Charan area under Kalihati upazila of the district on Thursday noon.

The deceased were identified as Karuna Das, 45, her daughter Shilpy Das, 25 and her grand children Pushpa Das, 3.

Sources said the victims a pickup van collided head on with a human hauler locally known as Tempu while thay were going to Ratanganj, leaving Pushpa dead on the spot and six others injured.

Later, the injured were rushed to Kalihati Upazila Health Complex where on duty doctor declared Shilpy and Karuna dead.

Kalihati Thana Sub-Inspector confirmed the matter to banglanews.
