DHAKA: The government is set to deploy Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in all the divisional cities, including the capital, in a bid to assist the law enforcers for maintaining law-and-order situation from Thursday evening.

Director General of BGB Major General Aziz Ahmed said a total of 20-platoon BGB personnel will be deployed in the city in the evening.

BGB sources said BGB personnel have already been deployed in Chittagong in the morning.

Others personnel were kept in alert position and likely to be deployed in divisional cities and in the capital to avert any unwanted situations ahead of October 25, sources added.
