GAZIPUR: At least two people were killed and nine others were injured in a road accident near Bhadun Bridge on Jodevpur-Pubail road of the district on Thursday.  

The deceased were identified as Arif Hossain, 25, son of late Abu Hanif and Priya, 6, granddaughter of Momela Khatun, hailed from Kaliganj upazila.

Witness said a Pubail-bound human hauler plunged into roadside ditch as its driver lost control over steering around 4:00pm, leaving two people dead on the spot and nine others injured.

Pubail police outpost Sub-Inspector Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.
