BD youth team meets Indian President Pranab

DHAKA: A hundred-member Bangladesh youth delegation meet Indian President Pranab Mukharjee on Thursday.  

Welcoming the delegation, the President said India and Bangladesh have a common history, heritage and culture.

The bondage between the two countries is deep rooted. The President said that he was delighted to meet them as he has deep personal attachment with Bangladesh.

Addressing the young members of the delegation, he said that the youth, are the future of a nation. They can decide the future course of action they want whether it should be conflict or conciliation, destruction or development.

The President appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Bangladesh and High Commission of India in Dhaka for their efforts in organising the visit of the delegation.

He also conveyed his best regards to brothers and sisters of Bangladesh. His message to them was "we are with you".

The High Commission of India in Dhaka in co-ordination with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and Government of Bangladesh has organized this visit of the second youth delegation to India and arranged for them to tour to academic, tourist and cultural sites.

The 1st youth delegation from Bangladesh had visited India from October 6 to 13, 2012.
