KHULNA: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel were deployed in Khulna City to maintain law and order in the metropolitan area.

Three platoons BGB personnel were seen patrolling in various spots from Friday morning.

BGB Khulna Operations Officer Major Azad confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Khulna Metropolitan Police Additional Deputy Commissioner Rashida Begum said that BGB personnel were deployed for the assistance of police forces.

Earlier, Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner imposed ban on all kinds of rally and procession in the city from Thursday night.
