BHOLA:  At least two people were killed and six others injured in road accident in Bepari Bazar area on Bhola-Char Fashion regional highway on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Nur-un-Nabi, 40, son of Anwar Sikder of Char Fashion and Abdul Jalil, 36, the microbus driver while injured are Oli, 35, Jamal, 42, Azad, 35, Selim, 40, Monir, 35 and Iqbal, 24.

Witnesses said a Microbus carrying the ill-fated people collided head-on with a passenger bus in the area at around 6:45am, leaving injured eight passengers of Microbus including its driver.

Later, two died on way to hospital.

Confirming the matter, Bhola Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Mahabubur Rahman told banglanews on information, police force was sent to the spot.

Sub-inspector Mahmud, from the spot, said the bodies were sent to Bhola Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
