Fire panic injures 50 in Ashulia

ASHULIA, DHAKA: At least 50 workers were injured in a stampede amid fire panic at a readymade garment in Ashulia, on outskirts of the city, on Saturday morning.

Sources said the workers of Reza Fashion got panicked and scrambled for exit after hearing fire alarm at around 10:00am, leaving 50 workers injured.

Later, the injured were rushed to nearby private hospitals.

Meanwhile, the garment authorities declared the factory shut in the incident.
 
On information, two fire fighting units were rushed to the spot to rescue the panicked workers.

Industrial Police-1 Director Mostafijur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
