‘BNP has no right to call hartal’

CHANDPUR: Home Minister MK Alamgir categorically said that Khaleda Zia, BNP and its associate organizations had no ethical right to call hartal.

He came up with the observation while addressing a stipend giving programme at Bangabandhu Degree College at Kachua of the district on Saturday.

MK Alamgir said, “We are ready to hold dialogue with any political person or party for the sake of country’s democracy. If any party does not take part in election, it will be lone responsible for it. Election will be held in due time.”

He claimed that ruling government would be legal till January 24.

College committee president Dr Muntasir Mamun chaired the programme.
