DHAKA: The preparation is underway to hold a meeting between general secretaries of the two man political parties Awami League and BNP.

Both parties’ sources said that Syed Ashraful Islam and Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will sit together after finalizing the date and time.

Sources also said that the basic consensus of ruling Awami League and main opposition party will be held in the meeting.

Wishing anonymity, a senior BNP leader told banglanews, “We heard that Ashraful Islam will phone to our secretary general and we are waiting for that. We don’t have any problem to discuss.”

Earlier on Saturday, Prime Minister talked to opposition leader over phone. Meanwhile, Prime Minister invited Khaleda Zia to join a dinner at Gano Bhaban.
