TANGAIL: A local Chhatra League leader, injured in Saturday’s attack by miscreant, succumbed to his injuries at Tangail General Hospital on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam 28, former president of ward unit Chhatra League and son of Moksed Ali of the area.

Abu Ali, the elder brother of the victim, said that a local named Aynal Hossain chopped Kalam with lethal weapon in Behalabari area under Kalihati upazila of the district, leavimg him injured critically on Saturday afternoon.

He was rushed to Tangail General Hospital immediately where he succumbed to his inujuries around 11:00am Sunday, he added.
