DHAKA: Airport customs detective department held a person with six gold bars at Shahjalal International Airport early Tuesday.

The detainee is Jahangir Hossain, 47.

Sources said that the gold bars were found in computer hard disk of the passengers at around 12:30am.

Earlier, the detainee arrived at the airport from Singapore by a flight of Singapore airways.

Confirming the matter, Airport Customs Detective department Director Mainul Islam told banglanews, “We searched the man as he carrying 47 hard disks and found the gold bars worth about Tk35 lakhs.”
