RAJBARI: A leader of ruling Awami League was strangulated to death by miscreants in Daulatdia area under Goalondo upazila of the district early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Fazlur Rahman Molla 65, Vice-president of Goalondo municipal unit Awami League.

Locals said that Fazlur was found dead at his own shop in the area in the morning.

On information, police rushed in and recovered the body and sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Confirming the matter Goalando Thana Inspector M Abul Bashar told banglanews that he might have been killed over previous feud.
