BADARGANJ, RANGPUR: At least two people were killed and ten others injured in a road accident on Badarganj-Parbatipur road near Bhelakoba Bridge under Badarganj Upazila of the district on Monday night.

The deceased were identified as Pabi Roy, 18, and Motaleb, 30.

Witnesses said that a Parbatipur-bound microbus rammed a rickshaw-van coming from opposite direction at around 10:30pm and then the microbus fell into roadside ditch, leaving the rickshaw-van passenger dead on the spot and 11 others injured.

Later, rickshaw-van driver died on the way of hospital.

Meanwhile, the injured were sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital and Bandarganj Hospital.

Confirming the matter Badarganj police station Officer-in-Charge Jahidur Rahman Chowdhury told banglanews, “An unnatural death (UD) case was filed in this connection.”
