AKHAURA: Rail communications on Chittagong-Sylhet-Dhaka halted as a compartment of a Dhaka-bound goods-carrying container train derailed in bypass area of Akhaura rail station on Thursday afternoon.

Cabin Master of Akhaura Station confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Akhaura Loco shade in-charge Mohsin Bhuiyan told banglanews that a salvage train is conducting the salvage work.
