CHITTAGONG: Police rescued 23 persons and arrested six others from Bibirhat area of the port city on Friday midnight while they were waiting for going to Malaysia illegally.

Acting on a tip off, police in a drive held them from an under construction building under Panchlaish Thana.

Deputy Commissioner of Metropolitan Police (North) Harun-ar-Rashid Hazari confirmed the matter to banglanews.
