DHAKA: The ferry services on Paturia-Daulatia river route resumed after an eleven hours halt since Friday night due to poor visibility for dense fog.

Sources said that the authority stopped the ferry services have been suspended at around 10:00pm to avoid accident on the route.

Three Ro-Ro Ferries –Shahjalal, Shaheed Barkat, Motiur --and K-type ferry ‘Kopoti’ loaded with a good number of vehicles  got stranded in mid Padma.

Confirming the matter, Paturia Ferry Ghat Manager (commercial) Bidyut Kumar Saha told banglanews, “The ferry services resumed at around 9:00am as the fog cleared.”
