SIRAJGANJ:  Two people were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Hatikumrul-Pabna highway in Ullapara upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Malek Joarder, 50, son of Nur Box of Shahjadpur upazila and his manager Liton, 35, son of Hazrat of the same area.

Witnesses said a Hatikumrul-bound CNG-run Auto-rickshaw collided head on with a Microbus in the area at around 10:00am, leaving an auto-rickshaw passenger dead on the spot and injured others.

Later, Liton died on way to Ullapara upazila health complex.

Ullapara police station Assistant Sub-Inspector Ahsan Habib told banglanews that the bodies were recovered and the microbus was seized.
