BSF abducts cattle trader in Jhenidah

JHENIDAH: Border Security Force (BSF) of India abducted a Bangladeshi cattle trader from Kusumpur frontier area at Maheshpur upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.

The victim was identified as Potol Mia (28), son of Hobi Mondol, resident of Kusumpur village of the upazila.

Company Commander of Kusumpur Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Nayek Subedar Abdul Kader told banglanews that cattle trader Potol Mia tried to enter India through Kusumpur border area to bring cattle.

During the time, a patrol team of BSF nabbed him from Nonaganj area of Tungipara in India, he added.

Abdul Kader also said that BSF did not respond to their (BGB) letter holding flag meeting, in this connection, till 3.30pm.
