DHAKA: Dr AK Abdul Momen, Bangladesh Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, said UN Peacekeeping Department paid Bangladesh a total of $39 million US dollars for service that was due.
Bangladesh was about to receive $49.7 million from UN-DPKO for our service and equipment as of October 2013 and $39.03 million was received recently.
He added: “Therefore, still some amount is payable to us but we are not worried, it will come automatically any day.”
Abdul Momen also said, “Although we are number 1 troops contributing country but our receivable was lower to that of India ($80m) and Ethiopia ($54m).”
