NOAKHALI: Two suspected robbers were lynched and 10 others injured in Nolerchar area under Hatiya Upazila of the district on Wednesday night.

The deceased were identified as Safi Alam, 38 and Aminul Islam, 40.

Witnesses said that locals protested robbers while they attacked businessmen in Bhumihin bazaar, Coldstore bazaar, Killar bazaar and started vandalizing shops of those bazaars after robbery.

At one stage of obstruction, locals and robbers locked into clash, leaving two robbers dead.

Hatiya police station Officer-in-Charge Syed Fazle Rabbi confirmed the matter to banglanews.
