No hartal-blockade during exam

DHAKA: The government is set to urge the opposition BNP not to enforce protest programmes including hartal and blockade during examinations.
 
On behalf of government, the Education Ministry will request the main opposition party in this regard.

Sources concerned of the ministry confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Dhaka Board Chairman Taslima Begum told banglanews, “Through government, we will request BNP to refrain from announcement of hartal of blockade during examination.”

On November 4, the Junior School Certificate (JSC)-Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations will be held where 20 lakhs students to be appeared.

Besides, various examinations are scheduled to be held on November-December.

On the other hand, BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir Hossain on Wednesday said that if they declare any hartal-blockade program, all examinations will remain out of purview of hartal.
