DHAKA: Local Government Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Syed Ashraful Islam on Sunday claimed that BNP is associated with international militant groups.

“The leaders and activists of the party were the beneficiary after Bangabandhu had been killed. They are the believers in militancy from the time,” he said.  

The spokesperson for the party came up with the observation while addressing a discussion meeting at Bangabandhu Avenue in the afternoon.

The minister also said the people of the country have to be aware of BNP and prevent them politically.

Dhaka City Awami League organized the program marking the day of countywide series bomb blast on August 17 in 2005.
