BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is set to travel to London once again for medical follow-up, according to party sources.
Doctors have strongly recommended the follow-up treatment abroad, terming it urgent for her ongoing recovery.
BNP has already contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs seeking the necessary assistance for the trip.
While her condition has shown some improvement, party insiders say that continued access to advanced medical care remains a top priority for her full recovery. This has prompted the decision to send her back to London.
Earlier this year, on January 8, Khaleda Zia traveled to London for advanced treatment. After nearly a month of hospital care, she stayed at the residence of her elder son and BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman, where her follow-up treatment continued under medical supervision.
She later returned to Bangladesh on May 6, following Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations with her family in London.
