JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY: At least seven people were injured in a factional clash between two groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) over establishing supremacy at Jahangirnagar University early Thursday. 

The injured are- Humaiyun Kabir,  organizing secretary of  university unit Chhatra League, Shakil,  president of Muktijoddha Abdul Mannan Hall unit BCL, member Rokonuzzaman Sabuj and activists Saiful, Jahir, Arif, Sabuj. 

Witnesses said that the activists of the BCL fraction led-by Aninda Baroi, JU Hall unit general secretary, attacked activists of another BCL fraction led-by Humaiyun Kabir and Shakil, around 4:30am, leaving the seven people injured. 

Later, injured were sent to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital. 

Following the incident, a meeting was underway between University Proctor and Hall administration.
