Broadcast policy govt’s political blueprint

DHAKA: Speakers, at a program, said the National Broadcast Policy is a political blueprint of the incumbent government.

 As only mass media criticized them, so they made it to control the television news and critics, the added.

 Speakers came up with the remarks at a roundtable titled “Broadcast Policy, Law and Broadcast Commission” organized by Sushashoner Jonno Nagorik (Sujon) at the VIP Lounge of the National Press Club in the city.

Speaking at the function, Sujon secretary Badiul Alam Majumdar said, “The policy contradict the existing laws, it has been criticized from different groups, but government does not even pay heed to it.”

Badiul urged to form the national broadcast commission with the inclusion of impartial persons.

Sujon president M Hafiz Uddin Khan presided over the function.
